DR. Michael J Consolo
A Southern California native, Dr. Consolo studied biology at University of La Verne where he graduated in 2008 with highest distinction (Summa Cum Laude) at the top of his class with a 4.0 GPA. He went on to earn his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA in 2012 before moving to New Jersey where he completed a 5-year residency in Urological Surgery at Rowan University and Kennedy University Hospitals. He served as chief resident his final year and joined Inland Urology in 2017.
Dr. Consolo practices general adult urology with a special interest in minimally-invasive surgical approaches to the treatment of malignant and benign conditions of the urinary tract. He is experienced in performing robot-assisted surgery including radical prostatectomy, radical nephrectomy and partial nephrectomy using the DaVinci robotic system. He also has particular interest in caring for men with voiding issues related to benign prostatic enlargement.
Dr. Consolo is the recipient of numerous awards, scholarships and publications and has presented his research at several national academic meetings including the American Urological Association, the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction and the Annual Clinical Assembly of Osteopathic Surgeons. In addition, he serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Western University of Health Sciences. He became a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons in 2019 and is the current secretary-treasurer of the urological division of the ACOS.
