Frequently Asked Questions
WHEN SHOULD I GET THERE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
For first time patients, we recommend arriving 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork and have insurance documentation scanned. If you completed your paperwork online please 10 minutes early. We will also have patients give a urine sample for their first visit
Established patients would benefit from getting there 15 minutes early to ensure that you can be seen in a timely manner and prevent other patients from being late
MY PRIMARY DOCTOR HAS ALL OF MY INFORMATION, WILL THAT AUTOMATICALLY BE AVAILABLE FOR THE UROLOGIST TO VIEW?
No, actually receiving paperwork, labs, and x rays can be difficult secondary to privacy and legal consents. We strongly recommend you personally bringing anything with you that you want the doctor to see. This can be especially important if there have been xrays or scans performed as reviewing the actual images during your visit may give additional information. (ie. If you are visiting for elevated PSA, please bring a copy of the lab, if you are coming for kidney stones, please bring the disc with the images from where you had the study done)
WHAT DO I DO IF I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOMEONE PRIOR TO MY SCHEDULE TIME?
We often have cancellations or changes in our schedule and sometimes openings are available on a more day to day basis. If you are interested in moving your appointment up feel free to call and see if spaces have opened up.
WHAT IF I AM UNABLE TO MAKE MY APPOINTMENT TIME?
As a courtesy for the time reserved for you and to other patients who need to be seen urgently please give us at least a 48 hour notice if you are unable to make your scheduled time. This will allow us to make room for patients who need to be seen sooner and will avoid a $50 no show fee.
